Since 2019, GGANS and Perennia have been producing together Best Practices sessions to keep the growers updated on the activities happening in the local vineyards, to share the main changes in the weather through the season and to have growers’ discussions. Last year the sessions transitioned from outside to indoors through Zoom sessions, which has allowed to have participants from all the parts of the province.
This year, at the beginning of each session we will have a
special guest to present their research in a specific topic in viticulture. In
this first session, Dr. Harrison Wright from AAFC Kentville will be presenting
the bud hardiness results from last winter.
This session will have the following speakers:
- Dr. Harrison Wright: Bud hardiness results from 2021-2022
- Jeff Franklin: Weather update
- Francisco Diez: Vineyard activities
- Growers discussions: Steve Ells from Ellslea Farm and Marcel Kolb from Luckett Vineyards
The first Best Practices session will be next Thursday May 6
at 6:30 pm from Zoom. Registration is required, please see the following
