Thursday, February 27, 2025

Happy Thursday Dear Growers!

I’m sure you share my excitement as the temperatures this week have been gradually rising above freezing... and according to my countdown — and the road sign by Hennigar's — we’re just three weeks away from Spring!

This week's Blog will be a short one- as most of you are aware, we have the GGANS AGM this Sunday, so I am sure I will see most of you there.

This AGM promises to be a great one. In addition to the ALAB and Phytoculture Lab tours, GGANS has organized a panel discussion:

"The Role of Grapevine Physiology and Technology in Maximizing Vineyard Productivity"

The panel discussion consists of four speakers:
  • Dr. Simone Castellarin- Grapevine Physiology Professor and Assistant Director of the Wine Research Centre in Vancouver, BC.
  • Becca Griffin- Viticulturalist (Mercator, Gaspereau Vineyards)
  • Charlie Turcotte- Valley Precision Ag,
  • Dr. Jim Willwerth- Professor of Biological Sciences at Brock University.
It promises to be an informative session, so, bring your notepads, questions, and let's have a lively discussion.

The AGM details:

Time: This Sunday, 2nd March 2025
